General Discussion:
Side notes: some liked them some didn't. Discussed their relevance to the story. Sarah compared them to 'Family Guy'. Sarah thought they gave you insight into TS. Alex liked the hamburger sandwich of train sounds. Carol liked the ones about the reports to the teacher.
The sections of the book: Carol liked the first part and wanted more with them. We all agreed the second part dragged.
Discussed the Emma back story. What really happened? Historical fiction. Some loved it and some not so much.
Discussed Smithsonian events. Carol thought the secret society was contrived. Nick thought it was gratuitous.

A -- dream sequence
AH -- really liked the trucker dude.
A -- didn't really call for that section.
Relationship with Dr. Clair and Dr. Yorn.
N -- do you think there was something going on with Dr. Clair and Dr. Yorn?

Role in Layton's death: TS feels responsible for his death.
N-- strange to think that if the gun jammed, which is possible, that Layton would have been that careless with the gun.
