(no subject)
Omg. There is so much fandom stuff I need to update! Which, I admit, is strange on the tail end of a writers strike, but there you go.
First of all - How good was Ashes to Ashes?!?! It was almost perfect. I loved it to death. There are SOME things that could have made it actually perfect -
Like Sam NOT being dead! AHH! NOT cool! Although the ‘never found his body’ comment will forever fan a small flame that he’s actually still alive. Somewhere. Maybe held hostage, or, heaven forbid - In a coma!! Maybe living in the early 30’s or something. *g*
And Annie. They should have mentioned Annie. Even if they’d just said Sam had “left behind a wife and kid” or something, I would have been appeased. It was brilliant though. I love Alex, and Gene is STILL a crack up, if, I dunno, a tiny bit sadder maybe? - I LOVE the chemistry between him and Alex... I think it’s perfect and I can’t wait to see where it leads!
Chris is GORGEOUS! OMG! I loved him before, but he’s totally grown, and I LOVE it. Ray is his usual charming self. Never liked him anyway, but the look cracks me up. It amuses me greatly after SEVEN YEARS, neither of them were promoted. Haha.
- I can’t wait for more this week! Still makes me sad there are only EIGHT episodes!! Hopefully they’ll do it like Life on Mars though and give us at least two seasons...
Secondly. I watched the pilot of the Sarah Connor Chronicles last night, on channel 9. OMG it was BRILLIANT! I watched the movies over the weekend with Kelly, so everything was all fresh in my mind and stuff... and it was so good and so well done and I love Summer even more. I have awesome hopes for this series, I hope the writers strike didn’t damage it’s potential any.
I will probably NOT wait for commercial teevee though. Knowing me. As I was watching it I couldn’t shake the feeling that they’d cut something out - (they probably haven’t, it wasn’t disjointy or anything...I’m just paranoid)
And I HATE adds! They totally ruin the momentum. (And I’m possibly very spoilt)
I also watched the Tudors. Hmmm. Pilots of new shows are notorious for their large information dumps. Unfortunately this was one of the bad ones - trying to cram far too much information in such a tiny spot. It also didn’t help that the King and his best friend looked EXACTLY alike and it was hard keeping up with their antics.
Lol. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is HOT though. A complete prat in this show, but hot nonetheless. The only other bad thing to say is all the naked people. Usually hot guys and naked people in the same paragraph isn’t a bad thing, but it’s WERID watching all that sex in front of my mother. Oh well, we’ll survive. It looks fun. :D
