i've changed;&stayed the same
It is weird to see the date as December 31st, at least a few seconds ago it was. I've just suddenly realized that this is the absolute last day of 2006 and I just feel weird about that. All of a sudden this year is over and it has gone by so fast and 10 years from now they will be going by even faster. I never feel anything when the clock strikes 12 am on January 1st, but I feel something by seeing the date as December 31st. It almost feels like a deadline, but I'm still strangely excited. I love New Year's Eve and I can't really give anyone a reason why, there is just some feeling present that I don't feel any other day of the year.
