ok well im not a big fan of sour stuff (which makes me a total outcast in my family.. and among my friends.. and their families, and my boyfriend and his family.. and well.. basically anyone iranian ever) BUT i love (LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE) garlic and this last winter in iran i went to someones house and they offered me torshi (sour stuffs) and i said no, and my father was like no no, its garlic, try it (iranians seriously pickle everything ever) and it was THE MOST DELICIOUS THING I HAVE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH. it wasnt even super sour, it was just... i dont know.. had this weird tang PLUS SUPER GARLIC-Y taste and this lady had been aging this garlic for OVER TWENTY YEARS ON HER BALCONY. omgggggggggggg i cant tell you how delicious it was. i ate an entire head of garlic and reeked of it for days hahaha. anyway, this comment is totally useless because i dont have the recipe for it! im sure there are tons out there but i want HERS and i will GET IT this summer.. for now i just wanted to share my garlic story haha. im going to hopefully not be a bum and comment later with some torshi recipes.
