Me and a friend joined a Roman re-enactment group a year ago (despite my hatred of the Romans) and this is what resulted.
I have now decided to defect and just wear Greek and Scythian clothing all the time but I haven't gotten around to making the outfits yet.
The first and best picture becuase it has the cutest little girl on earth in it (and me doing the usual and managing to have my eyes closed). If I have kids they damn well better turn out as adorable as she is.
Random pics of me in Roman lady garb. Don't mind the dramatic pose- unconsciously did the whole Alexander upturned eyes etc thing. Very shameful :p
Did the beading on the following chiton myself. Consequently have vowed to never do beading again, I'm way too impatient for that sort of thing.
Our attempt at ripping off off those photos of American soldiers with Iraqis. We behave in bad taste as usual. It kind of failed; not enough hoods and naked human pyramids, resulting in little sadism.
Sitting around the campfire constitutes about 90% of any public event (the rest is dedicated to suffering whilst marching with gigantic sheilds).
The aforementioned sheild.
My second outfit, after I ditched the Roman palla and decided to wear a Greek himation. Have no decent photos of it really...can't see cute little Egyptian sandals either :(
And thus we end this presentation. Just for the record I am not really as incredibly mopey as I seem in those pics :p Further presentations shall occur when me and my friend get around to making Amazon and meanad outfits.
