What the hell

Some of you may know that I recently got a job at Domino's hanging up fliers and crap. No it wasn't my first choice, but they needed a marketing guy and I really needed a job so there you go.

Anyway

Every so often the managers either make a pizza for no reason or we get "dead orders", where someone orders a pizza and either doesn't pick it up or doesn't pay for it. We then get to eat those in-store (if said person is an insider or delivery driver and is actually in-store to eat it) or give them away (to hobos for example), or take them home. The latter was the case with me.

My friend Adam was over yesterday 'cause we were all gonna see Hancock. Adam left early to avoid rush hour and to hang out for a bit before we left, and he also mentioned being hungry. During our games of Halo, Dave, my manager at Domino's, calls me because I need to sign some schedule changes (since I don't work in-store, I don't actually clock in). When I go, I realize we might have dead orders, so after signing the sheets I need to sign I ask Dave if we have any, and we do, so I take home a medium sausage+pepperoni (That was practically fresh out the oven).

While I walk back I see Pirtle (one of my roommates who I hadn't seen all day 'cause he had work/school) driving out of the apartment parking lot. So, when I got back in the apartment and after Adam and I start eating, I call up Pirtle to ask him where he was going and to tell him I got a dead order. He said he was going to get books for his summer school classes and he asked me to leave him some pizza because he had hardly eaten anything all day and didn't get lunch. So I told him I'd leave him at least two slices (that's a quarter of a pizza).

Anyway, this morning I find a half-eaten slice and an ENTIRE SLICE of perfectly good pizza in the trash. What the fuck? Instead of, you know, saving them for later in the fridge he just chucks them when he could have either had them later or let someone else eat them. Seriously what the hell, it's just common courtesy/sense. "Hey can I have some? Aw thanks! ::THROW AWAY::"
