this week
its been weird
jays funeral was on monday. i think my friend matt said it best when he said this "its sad that it takes something like this to bring all of our friends together." its pretty true. i saw alot of people i have not seen in a few years, and i guess that really goes to show how great of a person jay was. he had more friends than alot of people i know. and i hope i never have to go to another one of my friends funerals ever, i dont ever want to look another mother in the eyes and automatically have my eyes well up in tears. i guess i really just wanna thank lindsay and sweeney for giving me shoulders to cry on. i've got great friends weather they realize it or not.
i got my wallet stolen on tuesday, i was only really mad at how bad the timing was. credit and debit cards can be cancled, licenses can be renewed and IDs can be re-issued. but i need all of these things by next thursday. lucky for me my wallet was found the next day and my ID was still in it and i was able to get a new debit card after a drive to plano today. but it screwed up my trip to UNT to get financial aid stuff and talk to an advisor.
there have been some rather late nights at work recently. i dont hate my job as much as i thought i did, but im getting pretty sick of people who expect everyone to make up for their lack of compentance. espically when these people think they are owed something because they have been doing sub-par work longer than the rest of us. target is not as bad as people make it out to be, but maybe thats because work is one of those times i can come out of my shell and talk to people i never would talk to. cleaning up after kids sucks, but this job is easy and my bosses really appear to like me, so its not that bad i guess.
im having a decent time right now and the things that happend this week are more of a momentary thing. plus i leave for austin on thursday. expect an update sometime after that most likely. or a really drunken update sometime while i am there.
