"Too much calcium..."

Mar 06, 2009 18:30

I've just returned from the acupuncturist: I'm to refrain from "calcium" related foods for the next 25 hours. No cheese. *sniff* This was determined prior to her knowledge of my recent lab tests.

After we got needles in, and adjusted for my discomfort, we were left resting in a darkened room. With a guided meditation playing in the background, my hostess' usual listening material, we healed. At the end of our session, I was able to walk immediately without the (of late) usual sensation of pins and needles up my leg bones. After I returned from the restroom, she manipulated my body lightly (Uh, I don't know how to describe any better at the moment).

I will need some time to reflect upon the experience during the process. For now, I've got to determine what I'm to eat for dinner. And figure out how to afford two visits a month, at $50 a visit.

One Hour Later -
I'm screwed. LOL The cupboards are bare. Of the allowable foods, I have corn (canned & frozen), rice (brown, white & noodles), pasta (linguini, fettichini, and penne), triskets, graham crackers, tomato sauce and paste, honey, and tea in the house. Aside from marinara with pasta, I'm at a loss. *sniff* For the first time in a week, we have cheese, soymilk, peanut butter, and 9 grain bread as of late last night.

What I Want And Can Have: a nice juicy rare steak, steamed green beans, a hot roll, and garlic roasted potatoes.
