23!

Oct 16, 2005 02:02

Your eyes do not deceive you! I'm a little rusty (it took me a few minutes to find the update journal link) but entries are on the cards again. If the next two weeks go to plan, I'll be around a lot more too. Now that I've well and truly made a name for myself as the most frustratingly sporadic LJer known to LJ-kind this year, I must thank you all ( Read more... )

Welcome back, Kat! It's nice to see a new entry from you.

23, hey? That's nothing! I wish I was still 23! Happy belated birthday, btw.

Happy birthday to John-boy too. Well, it's tomorrow for me but today for Aussie's right?

Thanks for welcome back, Trace! It's been a long time coming, this entry. :D

You're right. I'd hardly consider you to be over the hill, so I'm sure I'll come to embrace the rest of my 20s with the same attitude. ;) Thanks for the birthday wishes! :) Right you are, John's birthday ticked over last night by Aussie time. But officially, it was tomorrow in the US/UK. :D You guys are the same age too, right? It goes to show that all the cool people are in their 20s. ;D

Ah, yes, I think John and I are the same age. He was born in 1977 too. All the cool people are 28, right?

It would be John's birthday now - in my time zone - I hope he's having a great day.

Don't wait so long to post again, Kat.

I'd say you're right - 28 is a good sounding age. ;D It probably sounds more appealing than 23 to me right now 'cause I'm at crossroads with uni, an impending career and all that. Once I'm stabilised (ha, I make it sound like a medical emergency!), I should enjoy my 20s a lot more. :D

I noticed a few b'day posts on John's communities just now. Glad to hear it! I hope he's enjoying himself too. He definitely deserves some time out, so I hope he gets it. :)

You can count on it! Two weeks from now, you'll be sick of seeing me; here and on FF. ;P Great catching up! I'm glad you enjoyed your James Blunt show the other night too! I can't wait for a chance to check him out live. He was over here for a promo trip last month and from what I saw, I was most impressed.

I'm sure we'd never get sick of seeing you, Kat.

Oh, and if you get the chance to see James Blunt you definitely should. I was very impressed with him. I'd never seen him before and even though I really love the album you never know what to expect when you're seeing someone live for the first time.

Aw. Thanks Trace. That's good to know! :P

I'll be sure to, after reading your review. I bought his album the day prior to seeing him perform on Rove Live and was impressed then. But you're so right - you can never be certain what to expect until you've seen/heard them in person. I've come to trust your judgement on artists for which we have a mutual appreciation though. Very much looking forward to his Aus tour! I'll be sure to let you know my verdict then too. :)

Is he doing an Aus tour? If he is I hope you enjoy it.

I'm waiting for Delta to get her arse over here to tour. Any ideas if she's ever gonna do that?

Nothing's been announced yet, unfortunately. But I assume, given the success of his promo trip and album sales, we can hope! But thanks in advance, Trace! :D

You guys have been so patient, I know! I've no doubt she would have taken the Visualise tour on to the UK after it wrapped up here, if her US release weren't given the go ahead. She'll be promoting there for the remainder of this year and returning home in December. From there, I'm not sure what she has planned. More US promo, depending on how what progress is made in coming months, but I'm willing to bet a UK tour will be on the cards at some point next year. This US business, though exciting, is something of a bump in the road as far as proper touring goes. I know she's dying to bring the tour over as soon as possible. I'll keep you posted the minute I hear anything, of course! ;)

Yeah, the stupid US promotion had to get in the way! Seriously, I hope it goes well for her though. Then once it does she can get over here! MAybe something will happen sometime next year. I really wann see her!

Yeah, it cetainly is! I hope so too. Everyone seems to be generally supportive of her, which is great. And it's definitely only a matter of time before she clears her schedule long enough to return her appreciation to the UK fans. It'll be mighty exciting when that happens. I have a feeling she'll manage a UK tour next year. In the meantime, her Visualise Tour DVD should be released in the UK round Christmas time, so you can get a taste of what to expect from it! The two shows I attended were beyond brilliant, so you guys won't be disappointed. She's well worth the wait! :D

She's releasing a Tour DVD? That's awesome! I love tour DVDs. What with Maroon 5 releasing one soon and Green Day and McFly doing them I know what's gonna be on my Christmas list!

Dude, you've just about made my day by telling me that!

Yeah, hopefully their will be a tour next year sometime. I'll keep looking!

She is! It was due out here this week, but has been delayed till mid November. Rach reckons the UK release shouldn't be too long after, just like the Delta DVD release in '03. I just saw an ad for Maroon5's new DVD tonight actually! I'm excited too - I'm a big fan of music DVDs as you are. You can watch them over and over and never tire of them. Glad the news of Delta's newie made your day. I'll let you know if I hear any updates on that release as well as any tour news. :D
