Dear livejournal folk, I need your help. Y'see, it's that time or year- Decide On Sixth Year Holiday Or Else time. It's boiled down to two options: self-catering apartment in Tenerife, or Interrailing.
Tenerife
Pros
Guaranteed sun.
Guaranteed boozing.
Most of my friends are going.
€400 including flights and accommadation.
We'll be in the same place for the whole week.
Easier option.
Cons
Guaranteed sunburn.
Guaranteed drunken messes and shit clubs.
Daryl, Natalie, Peter and Georgia are going, which makes strife inevitable.
We'll be in the same place for the whole week.
Feels like giving up.
Interrailing
Pros
It's interrailing.
Clodagh and Lucy are going.
Kelan is going (this shouldn't influence me but kind of does.)
All-zones ticket for a month is €283.
We can go wherever the hell we want.
I will probably never get to holiday with these people again.
Has the potential to be the best holiday evar.
Cons
A dozen people will hate me for ditching Tenerife.
Rather greater capacity for total disaster.
There's no way of predicting how much accommodation will come to.
I'd be going with some of the least organised people I know.
Theft, lost luggage, fleas, being sold into the sex trade.
We'll disagree on where to go.
The group, I would think, is that much more indifferent to me.
It'll probably rule out going in uni, where I might meet the best-Interrailing-buddies-ever and kick myself.
I can't afford to do both, and booking for Tenerife means I have to decide by Monday. Help.
