[Tech news]

People have always imitated nature in different ways. Observation and analysis of the birds made Wright brothers to design their airplane structure. Now, the technology is imitating nature with a new class of biologically inspired robots called Biomimetics Robots. Biomimetics is a general description for engineering a process or system that mimics biology.

At Stanford university sprawling robots are being designed seeing the practical applications a few years from now. Cricket-like robots can be used in rescue missions, Lobster-like can be used in underwater mine research and flying robots can be used for future space research.
