Oh Life ...
is happening, its all happening as miss penny lane so astutely would remark.
As per usual, the twists, turns, storms and new paths all happen at once. Am employed - may be employed a threefold by the end of the week.
Bartending in the East Village at Sly Fox where I have gotten into way too much trouble. Thanks to Foley and a familiar gang, only kind of weird to be, ahem, behind the bar, to be doing this. Living the dream, and my body is already remembering its night-shift rhythm ... Come visit, I'm coming up with witty specials.
In September I'll start working in various positions (receptionist, teaching, etc) in an arts center I really love. On the Upper East Side, they have a certification program that sends teachers to different schools, plus their own studios. The owner/director is a really sweet woman, and just the idea of teaching movement brings my heart some rest. And kids! I miss my kids - between my spring gig being cancelled and some major internal drama in the summer program I helped run for a bit (oh Long Island, can't you keep one good thing going??) I'm in kid-withdrawal.
Additionally, I may be demoing for Rick's Picks.
Waiting for money from Oasis, have a festival in October I need to get-a-thinking/scheduling on, and will most likely be doing something with Dance Theater Etc.
