so i haven't updated for a while....
Okay, so I haven't updated this thing in a while and I'm sure you're all wondering what has been going on in the life of Liz...haha well here are some main highlights
- we're playing christmas festival and sleigh ride in band again this year!!! (that made my week when i found out)
- they started a brass quintet at salve and I get to play the tuba part on my trombone...which makes me a little dizzy at times but as dave said i've "been dizzy long before playing the trombone" haha and we're playing a bunch of christmas songs which is always fun for me!!
- we had our first chorus concert last saturday with bryant college...it was soo much fun, I've decided i really like being in chorus...too bad my scheduale next semester might not let me stay in it :(
- homework and classes have been keeping me busy...but all my classes are interesting (with the possible exception of religion sometimes) so i don't really mind doing the work
- we went to New York 2 Sundays ago and saw WICKED!!! Oh my god I can't even begin to tell you how great it was...it made me appreciate my friends even more...and i'm not gonna lie, i cried a little at the end
- i've been to the hospital 4 times already with 3 official patients...i really like going, not to sound dorky, but there's always something new to learn, even if its just getting used to talking with patients. So far i've even gotten to change 2 bandages (once even with sterile gloves!) and I've gotten to learn how to use the wall oxygen. I'm also gotten better at my hospital corners and helping people get dressed and cleaned up. all in all im still really excted for this nursing thing :)
- ER has been good lately, its really wierd seeing Uncle Jesse as an EMT and the chimp two weeks ago was sooo cute!!! I hate the new nurse manager but i like dr. clemente
- mom jessie and auntie carla came up to visit last night!! They got here around 3 and waited for me to get out of brass practice then we went back to my dorm. Mom baked a TON of cookies and baclava (sp?)and a HUGE BOX of baci. (i've been brushing up on my italian trying to read the sayings) Then we went back to cecelia to pick up emma. We went to stop n shop and did some serious grocery shopping. Then we went to eat at Chilis...we had a wicked annoying waitress but it was a fun time anyway and we laughed alot, about what I'm not exactly sure but I know alot of it came from my godmother's EXCELLENT driving skills
okay i think thats about it for now...THANKSGIVNG in 2 and a half weeks!! I can't wait to see my friends and its my little sister's first thanksgiving show! and she's officially finished her first marching season with flying colors...she even said toni-lee complimented her marching technique!!!
