so I figured since I have failed miserably at being a productive student today I would update livejournal instead!!
This weekend has been pretty awesome mainly because I finished my homework due monday and tuesday last thursday so I've been kinda half assing some long term projects that don't need to be finished right away...which roughly translated means that I had FREE TIME!! Friday I had madrigals practice and then Emma and I ate at Sky Ranch. Then Friday night Talita and I went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants which made me miss my friends from home SOOO MUCH.
Saturday I had brunch with Katie and had an excellent omlete made by Dave the Omlete guy (whose real first name is Nathaniel) I hit the library for the first time this semester and took out some books on bioterrorism and hemorragic fevers for microbiology and some books on reincarnation for Religion class which definitely put me to sleep better than anything else on the earth. Emma, Talita and I went to Panera for dinner which was EXCELLENT. Finally at 6 I had my first night as Building Manager at Wakehurst which is about the best work study job I could ask for. I work one day a week, Saturday nights, and I can do my homework, have friends over to study or just hang out, and they gave me a free wakehurst student center t-shirt, poloshirt and sweatshirt. I just have to sign out equipment, on every hour make rounds to make sure everything is neat and people are behaving and do the movie thing when there is a film schedualed. Definitely better than an office job.
Today I've just been futzing around Emma and I went to mass and brunch in the morning. I took a few notes on reincarnation and now I'm watching My Cousin Vinny.
In other news, Madrigals went a little better this week but I'm still basically clueless. We played the 1941 March in band!!!! I had my first day in the Nursing Lab last Thursday. We played a game were the students were people over 70 and the lab instructors were the caregivers treating the older patients with major stereotypes. It was a lot of fun and I'm starting to get less nervous about my nursing classes. We'll see how the tests go which are coming up not this week but the week after.
Okay have a great week everyone!!
