I am a dork

...but you all knew that already.

I've been on an icon-nabbing spree lately, so of course I had to upload a bunch of new ones. Perhaps I should, like, use my lj more often to justify this. Just a thought.

I am impressed by people who can consistently create clever and beautiful icons. They spend an evening and then load another 50 or so icons that are brilliant and ready for use. I have not these skills, so big admiration and thanks to those who do. You keep my lj pretty.

And just to keep things interesting, here's a meme!

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.

Um, I have a book about goats sitting on my desk. Yes, goats. No, you don't want to know. The Goat Handbook by Ulrich Jaudas and Seyedmehdi Mobini:

"The goats are fed with household scraps and on otherwise unusused areas --for example, the edges of roads-- are tied in fields, or are herded, mostly by children or old people. Or food is collected and given to an animal that is tied or is in a stable. This form of maintenance is found not only with farm families or landless day workers and hand workers in towns, but also with city dwellers too, who must also buy the feed.

In Germany, the goat has thus earned the name "mountaineer's cow" or "railroader's cow," for in time of need, goat keeping has eased the survival of more than a few families, if indeed it has not actually made survival possible."

Well. Between the goats and my new icons, I've pretty much made the dorkiest post ever. Go me!
