I think what he really means is 'I am dating someone at your church and I am trying to cover up my douche bag tracks since you're relatively vocal about my being scum'.

After all, I did speak at a church sponsored dating seminar after seeing him warning christian woman that it was not gosspip to warn your girlfirend she is dating a loser you know the history on... I might have specically used him as an example in front of 800 or some women.

I mean, it's not like it was ALL of the unmarried woman in the congregation.
