Sick day Schitzophrenia
So, I stayed home today. For those of you who didnt know.
Took long enough for me to finally get sick. It appears as though someone at school is more infectious than the 3 cases of double pneumonia to travel through my house since the last time I caught something. Good for them.
So, I was sitting at home today, and around 10, the doorbell rang. I thought to myself :
'Who could that be? Who goes door to door at 10? No one is ever home at 10 except stay at home moms, retired grandparents, and infants. *gasp* Maybe this is what they are expecting. Perhaps this is a robber, planning to come and innocently knock at the door, and when dear old granny comes to the see who it is, punch her in the face and proceed to ran-sack the house. And worse, by not answering the door, I have just given him the idea that no one his home, and he is currently jimmying open one of the side-yard windows.'
So, I grabbed a switch blade and a bat, and creeped my sick ass out of my room, and inspected all the doors and windows. All still tighly closed and unbroken. No men with masks and swag bags with dollar signs on the front scurrying about, either.
I checked the front door. There was box outside.
It was the UPS guy dropping off a package.
I have too much imagination for my own good.
But I was kind of dissapointed. I had gotten myself rather riled up at the thought of foiling a robbers plans and proceeding to beat the living hellout of him with the bat log after I had already knocked him out.
Ah well. Maybe next time I stay home from school someone will make a burglary attempt. :]
