YOGA!

So Jodi invited me to attend a yoga class at midnight sun last night. First I was really skeptical, pretty much ignorant to the fact that my body, without the aid of medicine, is able to heal itself. I thought it was going to be three hours of stretching and humming like idiots to some language no one understood.

Oh man was i wrong! Yoga is amazing! It's not about stretching, it's about balancing in various positions, some of which, look completely rediculous, which makes it hard to stay serious. Someone farted and Jodi and I busted out in quiet laughter because, well, it was funny! I don't care, unexpected farts will always be funny to me.

Anyways, the whole experience was really soothing, it's about just paying attention to your body, and getting your mind to stop thinking a million scattered thoughts, focus. And when you really get into it, yoga is this religion that gets deeper. Basically when your body is balanced and stretching, it creates heat, and that heat heals your body, without barely any sweat. My nose was draining itself but she told us all to just let go of ourselves and our egos. It felt so good to relax and put an end to my cynical thoughts. And my sinus problems cleared up in moments. I also released alot of tension in my lower back area, and wow, I just feel so much calmer, in a more loving mood. I wasn't down with all that prayer mumble jumbo and bowing to the budda statue, i don't think i'll get into that religion that much, but I just might research it.

I kinda felt guilty, though, lying there in that peaceful room while the rest of the world is suffering. I think i'm going again this tuesday, if anyone wants to join you are more than welcome. I think it's donations, but Jodi told me she usually gives $10, and i have decided it's more than worth it.

I have been driving without a liscence for a month now, and my lawyer is screwing me over, but I'm trying not to focus on it. Everything will work out, I'm not in control. Now i need to go finish this painting and michael and I are going running 5 miles, then we will go look at this apartment.

-Peace out!
