i wanna know
why do teachers make such a big deal abot hte new semester?
i mean, yeah, it is a point in the school year where the second half begins but
"you get a fresh start"
"your slate is clean again"
that's great and everything
but if truth be told
the slackers are still going to slack off
the overachievers are still going to overachieve
of course there are those exceptions
who really do change the second semester
but i worked hard in geometry to finally bring my grade up to a C
and now we started clean again, and the first grade i got in the second semester was an F
so now, instead of working my ways up froma C
i have to work my up from an F
but then again
i might be wrong
