Just walked in and resigned my post this morning. Not a recommended maneuver but boy! What a relief! Just have to ride out 13 weeks in the redeployment program looking for something I.T. by which time I will be MCSE 2003 and my particular camping trip gnat will hopefully have been well and truly swatted...

A bit more complicated than that... I have refused to work with my boss because he has been a total asshole (sound familiar?) and as I have not done anything sackable the only option is redeployment or *grin* medical retirement. Since i'm not quite *grin#2* on the scrapheap yet I have 13 weeks to find something useful to do within TFL before the medical retirement option kicks in.... surely even someone as slack as me could find SOMETHING else to do in a quarter of a year... ;-)

Yes, he's here!... I have been dragging him around various dens of ill repute since his arrival on Wednesday... he is staying @ Paulo's in Stokie since they have a spare room at the mo..... he is doing the touristy stuff today and we will all be meeting up @ Quinns approx 20:30 tonight before SC....

If this summer is shaping up to be anything like the elongated damage limitation excercize I imagine we are all going to need all the detox we need (and possibly a little divine intervention) just to stop ourselves from staggering of this mortal coil altogether ;-)
