Momento- I know, I'm waaaay behind the curve on this one. But it definately lives up to the hype. See it, but invite me first, cause I need to watch it again.
Let the Right One In- Think of it as Sweedish "Twilight"... only actually good. Features a 12-year-old girl vampire who majorly fucks some people up and her social outcast (possibly future homicidal maniac?) of a boyfriend. They are priceless. I'm thinking of buying it cause I watched it on Netflix instant, but there was basically NO sound. Boo.
Network- Speaking of being behind the curve... something from the 70's! It's such a heavy movie, and almost every line is still just as relevent as it was the day the film was released. This is one of those movies you do not watch to enjoy, but watch because otherwise you would not be fulfilled as a human being. I was tempted to lean out my window and yell "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!" during that scene, but alas, it was somewhere abouts midnight, and I doubt my neighbors would have appreciated it.
Once- In and of itself, it's an adorable little movie, but what really makes it is the music, which the actors actually wrote themselves. This astounds me, because the music is sooooooo ridiculously good. I would probably watch it again though I'm not in a huge rush to do so, but I am totes buying the soundtrack like now. I wish I were more musically inclined.
...also, is it odd that I have been writing songs (as in full on music and lyrics) in my dreams lately? Too bad I can't remember them when I wake up.
