I never miss
WHU-CHA, I went to see "Grindhouse" with Mary last night! And it was AWESOME! If you want to see it, definately go to the movie theater to see it, as it is one hell of a kick-ass experience. Don't know if I'll be going for the DVD (again, it's just a perfect "in theaters" movie, dunno how well the format will hold up at home), but it was definately worth it. We were gonna sneak into a showing of "300" after it, but the movie was long that we ended up missing the first hour, plus it was already 11:30 by the time "Grindhouse" finally ended (it was an 8:10 show!!!) anyway. My analysis: "Planet Terror" was definately better than "Death Proof" and the fake movie previews in between were definately some of the funniest things I have ever seen. I didn't like "Death Proof" as it had little to no plot and was about half an hour too long. However, "Planet Terror" was THE SHIT. I totally forgive Robert Rodriguez for "Spy Kids" now, it was that freaking amazing. So cool. I'm up for another show if anyone wants to go (because I know Shane is dying from the jealousy right now). It was kinda funny, as I think there was a walk-out every 5 minutes during the first half, and then a hand full more during "Death Proof." Some idiot decided that it would be a GREAT idea to take their 7-year-old kid to see this movie... they only lasted about 10 minutes at best. They couldn't handle the awesome. I think Mary and I were just about the only girls who went in on their own, though it was hard to tell cause we sat in the row with the handicap seats up front. Anyway, twas mucho awesome, though I think I was happier with my "300" experience (overall) than with this one. Still, it was great.
