A Seattle police officer was shot while sitting in a parked car with the new officer he was training on Halloween night. His funeral procession will be rolling by shortly and I can see news and police helicopters out my window over Key Arena. Sometimes it's nice to be in the neighborhood where a lot of events are held. Sometimes, like today, it's just sad.
In happier news, WA appears to have approved referendum 71 - Approving the law already passed that would give registered same-sex domestic partners, and opp-sex domestic partners where one of the parties if over 62 ALL legal rights that pertain to marriage (except for calling it "marriage") not already granted by state law. We are now a 'everything but marriage' state.
King County was crutial in getting this passed. Some of the later batches of ballots (mine is in there somewhere, they havent' counted it yet) have been approving it at the 70% level which is fantastic.
Accomplished so far today - clean bathroom including the tub. I find I'm more motivated to scrub the tub now that I have a gloriously large bath tub that's deep enough to get into.
Next - more site outline revisions.
Ok. Mini break over. Weasel care, and to work.
