Honestly now, would you be this outraged if it had been Kerry's dirty tricks that gave him the election over Bush? Or would you just say "well that sucks but at least it kept Bush out of the Whitehouse".
I don't dispute the ample evidence that the current administration is one of the most blatantly corrupt and power hungry ones we've had in at least the past 30 years, but any quick look at American elections or any election for that matter will show that fraud, bribery and intimidation are the standard not the exception when it comes to elections.
Wanna know how the Democrats held on to the Southern States after reconstruction? Armed gangs of loyal Democrats would go out and threaten or just outright gun down anybody suspected of turning out to vote Republican. Hell George Washington owed his position in the Virginia legislature largely to the fact that the vast majority of voters in his district owed him money or favors.
The point is things HAVE gotten better. We may be in a dark time right now but for the most part I would say the vast majority of elections in this country are resolved in favor of the guy who really did get the most votes.
It's obvious Bush stole the first election and he may have stolen the second one, but about 3 million more people voted for Bush than for Kerry so that says to me that we currently have the President that (at least a slim) majority of the country wanted.
So do what you can, when you can, but also realize that there are some things you can't change.
