Bonjour mes nouveaux amis
I'm soooooooo excited for new friends! It really has been rather a long time since I've done the whole lj-friending thing, so I might be a bit rusty, but I'll work on it.
Also, I'm sort of realizing that people appreciate updates, even if I think they're boring, it's probably better than nothing at all so...
/haha omg, this is not going well. um... maybe as practice, I'll just make a list of 3 things that I thought were rather great and maybe the rest will come back to me in time. here goes:
• took the poodles (emphasis on the "s" there, we have 3, we are actually "those crazy poodle people") to the dog park today, which is always great because mostly I end up seeing lots and lots of young (read: my age) couples walking their super cute like rescued mutts and it totally didn't make me resent the fact that I'm living with my parents and all I ever do is apply to grad programs. /sarcasm wow
• I had yet another ginormous starbucks extravaganza today, so far my third in less than 48 hours. I think I have a serious problem. I'm totes broke right now and all I ever spend money on is giant plastic cups that will kill the earth that I so claim to love and just... those fucking soy lattes are amazing and I can't stop myself.
• I've realized that not being in school has turned me into a lunatic. I miss biology classes so much that I forced my parents to let me butterfly chickens for dinner (mind you, I'm like... idek, 99.5% vegan when I'm living by myself) and proceeded to do so while wearing blue nitrile gloves and trying to show my father how much I know about spinal anatomy. This only resulted in my father getting super grossed out and leaving the room in a rather mean cloud of insults and me wishing I had thought ahead enough to put on my white labcoat. IF I DON'T GET TO WORK IN A LAB ASAP I THINK I COULD REALLY JUST BURST.
Okay, so that went better than expected.
