So I think I've finally decided what I want to do with my life. It's been my dream for years to be a vet, but I've always been kind of apprehensive about it. I mean, I'd have to do surgery, and I'd have to prescribe prescriptions and all that stuff, and I wouldn't want to mess up, even though I'd go through years of college to learn all that stuff, I've been nervous about it. So, I was thinking, and hey, why not be a veterinary assistant? I'd still be working with animals, it would still be the hands on stuff, but I wouldn't be responsible for a surgery messing up or not working. I thought about it for a while, and the more I thought, the better I felt about it.
My friend Clyst is a veterinary assistant up in Blackfoot, and she really likes it. She's told me the negative things she's experienced working there, but even after that I think it would still be worth it. This is the first time in a while I've been almost completely confident and relaxed about a decision.
I think I'm going to go for it.
