By order of mewgoesthecat, I am X-posting this picture here as well. More work to be done on it yet, but as mentioned, the community is in sore need of posts (and I'm a feedback slut, in any case).
Tom rocks my socks. ^^; Though I do think Tom is a better name than Gus... On my own celeb-front, one of the evening librarians at my school looks like the lovechild of James D'Arcy and Craig Parker. Shockingly, it works very well.
Out of curiosity, anyone interested in seeing a Dillon piece? I've grand ideas for an Aubrey/Pullings one next, but I'd LOVE to do one of Jack, Tom, and James, if anyone else happens to like him and be interested in the idea.
This will, of course, have to wait until I have my computer repaired/replaced and Photoshop back again. These sorts of occurences are why I 1) actually bought the overpriced suite (though I did get a great educational discount, to be fair) and 2) why I carry the discs with me from home to school to home to school, etc. Photoshop is my crack.
But Aubrey/Dillon/Pullings! *drools* I'm a sucker for pretty men with red hair. Especially long red hair.
I will eventually attempt a Stephen piece, once I'm comfortable with the whole hair thing. Kinda restricted to long hair, at the moment. (That and my overwhelming desire to populate the world with my OTP kinda grabs hold of my mind and runs.)
Glad you like, at any rate! I will be doing some more work on it once I get the computer and Photoshop back, now that I've seen the image on a properly calibrated monitor. Gotta define the nose, make the eyes more green (I swear to God, on my monitor they looked a pale green-gold), that one part of the sodding part where the stylus jumped and made a nearly horizontal stroke instead of following the curve of his head...
Lol!! Man, you've certainly got plans! Well I recommend making all of them, we need some more posting here. =) And pimping, if you feel so inclined. <3 Stephen is my absolute favorite, so I'll be excited for if and when you get around to drawing him. Thanks again!
We likessss the Ssssstephen... Really, I do. I love Book!Stephen especially (except when he has his woman-lust moments); he's gloriously eccentric. I am confused, however, as I seem to recall POB making a reference in M&C to how *nice* Stephen's voice was, and then deciding after that point that it would be harsh.
I am also confused as to why Mowett's name was William in the film and something else in the books (at least the first one; I'm still waiting for Post-Captain to arrive), James or something like that.
I have this wierd sort of disease that I call Neglected Pairing Syndrome, where I fall head over heels for lovely pairings that no one else sees/likes. That's why I'm so hung up on Tom and Jack. Though, I may do a Maturin/Dillon piece eventually! We likes that pairing, too. And the Jack/Stephen, of course, but it's EASY to find Jack/Stephen stuff. Anything else? Zilch. I see this as a problem, for while the J/S-ness is truly cute and lovely, there needs to be stuff to cater to different tastes, as well.
Oh, I can relate, I love rare (but good) pairings. =) I'm only starting to read the books, so I don't know as much about them as perhaps I would like to, but hopefully I'll get there someday! <333
I am impressed so far, although I've barely started. -.- I can't wait to really get into the series. I'm amazed by the amount of research that O'Brian must have done. *awe*
Yeah, incredible isn't it? Dunno if you've gotten to one of Stephen's absolute best lines slash-wise...

The books really are magnificent, though. I promise that you'll enjoy them! I devoured the first one in a couple hours, laughing most of the way (especially considering what happened to poor Jack's hair).
Lol!! No, I haven't gotten to that line as of yet, but I can't wait! I don't have any free time to sit down and properly read the book at the moment, but I can't wait until I find some. =) I know I'll love it.
