Respect or Disrespect?
Okay... so when you're in the army you have to follow guidelines for respect... say at the company level, when a commander comes in for the day you call the company to attention... for a 1SG you call "at ease" when you pull staff duty at the battalion you do the same for the ltc and the csm... they encourage you to ask if they are leaving for the day if you are unsure... so here i am on radio guard/cq at company level.. i'm not sure if the Commander is done for the day, so i ask him if he is done. this is respect is it not? wouldnt you rather i ASK if youre done then assume youre not... because if i dont ask and you are done and i dont call attention that is disrespect... so after i asked him he made me do push-ups for asking... i'm sitting here like... are you kidding me? hes all i do work for a living and what not... dude i'm trying to extend some respect to you by asking asshole. god that irritates me. so i hope when i get back to polk i have battalion staff duty and i'm not going to ask if they are done. and if they yell at me i'll simply tell them that i was punished last time i asked out of courtesy. and then see from there. but FUCKING HELL THIS IS BLOODY FUCKING STUPID!!!
