My car has taught me many things. Things like how "Oil Level Low" is a relative term, but when that gas light goes on, a gas station is the only thing you think about until you find one. But it's the things on the road not directly about my car which I'm attempting to talk about right now, so I'll use this sentence as a seamless segue.
I was driving home from Heather Higgins' graduation party today and when I was about to turn on to the interstate a white car with license plate CXK 6070 pulled up beside me at the red arrows. I looked at him and he looked at me and then, before he ran the red light and sped off to the left, getting to the full 65mph far too early. The light turned and he was gone but I wanted to find him. That guy had somewhere to be, and I wanted to know where.
I did find him after some time of driving a significant percentage over the speed limit, right in front of me but going superfast. I followed him, at his speed, for until we reached Niagara Falls Blvd and Sheridan, and I knew how to get home from there but he wasn't going my way. He also slightly ran the Niagara Falls Blvd light.
There was something about that guy. There is a life philosophy inherent in driving 65mph around a 25mph curve which intrigues me. Live life to the fullest. Trade away safety for other benefits, sometimes. Take risks. There's something to that.
Or maybe he was just in a hurry.
