I am not a teabagger, but I would closely identify in what is going on in the Tea-Party movement.
I just think it is funny when someone denigrates you in order to try to make a point.
It is like saying, "You idiot, this is how you do it." You basically lose the argument because you had to result to denigrating your opponent.
In the past I would be rather angry, but I have learned since to just let them know that adult conversations can only happen when the people act like adults.
I believe we need to reduce not increase the size of government. Restore a limited-government Constitutionalism to its proper place in society. Reducing national deficits. Reduction in taxes across the board.
It is more about personal responsibility. Allow your neighbors to be charitable and not force people who don't know you to support you.
Just to instill some more values that lead to personal responsibility and less towards protecting people from themselves.
Well it isn't going to be anything unless things are better organized. I think it has potential to be an awesome thing and I am on board to at least do my part.
True. You already have Trent Lott saying the Republicans need to subjugate this group. Not sure if he meant take on the causes or make their causes the causes of the Tea Party movement.
I have seen Libertarians though not be too happy about this group either. I think it comes down to having a platform and sticking to it. And with that the whole movement will come to an end because it will divide down normal party lines.

I'm still interested -- what in the "tea-party movement" can you identify with?

Of course, I don't believe the tea-party movement is *actually* about that, no matter what they claim, but that's another matter.
