So PAX...
Was awesome! Not as many random events to attend, but those were fairly underground even at other conventions, so perhaps I just haven't found the right blog yet.
Either way there were competitions gallore and I have now acquired a quest to beat Judy Nails at next years PAX (assuming she's still there). I now see a reason to spend hours of my life playing videos games. I can win awesome free shit at PAX! Entire Console systems! Just for being super good at guitar hero! And thats just the stuff from ONE BOOTH!
Also Privateer Press is now my new favorite. Guppy might be pleased to know I do have a new appreciation for Pirates of the Burning Sea. It looks like a very well done game. Full of well dressed normally proportioned people who have highly strategized conflicts. I have a free trial, maybe I'll get hooked but it will be a challenge. Because even while cost isn't so much of an issue anymore, I still don't much like the amount of time that can be pissed away on MMORPGs. They're like little black holes of life sucking away your hours and years to feed the lich kings of the corporations so that they can live FOREVER!!!
...or maybe they just make me a less accomplished person. 6 of one and all that.
Infernal Contraption is AWESOME. Its a card game (no not a TCG) where goblins build large machine to drain each others supplies. Last one with parts left wins.
