I just started watching Scrapped Princess, and am currently four eps in. Half of what I love about it is how much it reminds me of Planet Ladder. *points to icon* I doubt there will be someone as brilliant and coldly bitchy as my Bambi-chan, though. *points to icon AND username*

Anyway, it has the real possibility of going places, but I lean towards "artsy" anime more. Though I also just started watching Naruto, and while it's quite amusing, it makes Scrapped Princess look like high art.

Side note: All this fuss I've heard about Sasuke... WTF? He's all of what, thirteen, fourteen... at least in Loveless pedophilia was part of the plot (such as it is) or something, but.... he's just too young for me! I draw the line! It's true I fell for half the G-boys way back when, but I was fifteen at the time, so, not gross.

Planet Ladder is a completed seven-volume manga by Yuri Narushima. It isn't an anime, (and isn't too likely to become one, not that it's controversial, I just don't think it's that popular) and nobody scanlated it, so the only way to get it is through Tokyopop. It features incestuous UST (canon kissing!), lesbian UST, the power to save one--and only one--of nine possible Earths, and a giant robot cock. I kid you not. It's a rooster, and it's like ten feet tall.
