It's Pretty Much Summer Now...
...and I'm quite the happy one. Swimming, fishing, biking, raving, tricking, sleeping....fantastic.
It was my birthday last friday, and quite a good one. Of course, Beebs' birthday is the same as mine and i arrive at his house seeing his new car and permit (*cough*bastard*cough*). I got two AMAZING turntables (Numark TT-200, check them out if you like). They are direct drive and...amazing. Harry and I set one up and had a little scratching session with it, and...wow. Can't wait for the cartridges to come, and they will be coming with the mixer, which is a level of awesome that I have yet to experience (again, Numark DMX06, check it if you like). So yes, this new setup, which we combine with Harry's new PA monitors, and it's.......wow. I can't describe it (partly due to the fact that i've yet to experience this setup), but it's amazing and you're lucky to know us :-). Combine all this with my currently growing collection of Daft Punk and Basement Jaxx vinyls plus Harry's vinyls. No more needs to be said.
I got the new Coldplay CD "X&Y" and it's good, but more "haven't i heard this before?", especially the single 'Speed of Sound' which is essentially 'Clocks'. Good song, but really, come on.
I've got quite the list of reading for the summer, which is good, I suppose. Always nice reading early in the morning outside with some coffee. One of life's little pleasures.
Yes, the pool is open, and yes, it's fantastic. I go in every day since it's been warmer, and the pool's temperature stays around 82 degrees, which is really fantastic.
Finals and arena....ah I love it. Finals aren't that bad, and I get home at 1 so no complaining here. Arena ain't bad, just need to get Fray for spanish and I should be fine.
