Ahhh, my beatiful LJ, it has been too long.
Started work last monday and although it's really cool I have been completely cream-crackered. My poor ickle, or not so ickle at the moment actually (but more of that later) ex-student body can't hack the pace of a 9-5. It especially had trouble with the one day that ended up being a 6:45-:7:15. However, I seem to be slowly getting into a routine, to the point that getting up at 8:15 this morning seemed like a lie-in.
My body seems to be swelling at an incredible rate, I'm now 7 pounds heavier than when I came back from univrsity, and a whole 14 pounds heavier than before I went on holiday to cornwall. No idea whats bloody happening, don't really seem to have changed my diet, and if anything I'm exercising more. I can only conclude that this house makes me fat.
So as I sit here with my jeans cutting into my flesh in a rather uncomfortable manner, what has had the biggest impact on me in the last two weeks? A low point is definately that I got a letter from my graduation photographers sayong that their camera broke and I have no graduation photos! Boo! It's not a huge problem though, I just have to go and get them re-taken. The other most exciting thing has to be finally getting my hands on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince after my mother finally finished it. Kinda had to let her read it first as I pre-ordered if for her for mothers day.
MY PRECIOUS SNAPEY! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I don't believe it. I can't believe it. This is for a very good reason. It just can't be true. My feelings on the situation have already been discussed in a far more intelligent manner over at 's journal but I shall reitterate my beliefs anyway, as the actual typing of them is a vent for my worry surrounding poor Sevvy. (I like to think that he'd allow me to call him that, on account of the special bond that we'd surely share. You know, if he wasn't a fictional character. What?)
Severus had to kill Dumbleore
He had to do this because of some pre-arranged agreement between them, much like Dumbledore's order to Harry that he must not attempt to save his life
Dumbledore's "Severus... please" was actually a plee for Snape to carryout his part of the agreement, and kill him
This is why Snape reacts so strongly to Harry calling him a coward
This is also why Dumbledore's reason for trusting Snape seems so flimsy - we still do ot know the real reason, although what makes the most sense to me is that Snape was in love with Lily, and when he found out that his actions had caused her death, this was enough for him to turn away from the death-eaters and confess all to Dumbledore
His love for Lily, and that fact that she loved James is why Snape resents Harry and yet still protects him (even to the point of ordering the death eaters off Harry at the end, and not countering any of Harry's curses and jinxes with an unforgiveable) - Harry is the son of the woman he loved, and yet the image of the man she chose over him, although I'm wiling to bet that Lily never actually knew about how Snape felt about him
The second most exciting thing has definately got to be......... drum roll please.........
