'Ey everyone.
Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving, spent mine at the house and had dinner with Janna's family. The last week or so has been kind've stressful. Last Monday night I found out my biological father had a moderate heartattack and was life-flighted to a hospital. This would send most into panic mode, but for me it was a moral dilemma. I speak to the man 2 times a year, at Christmas and on my birthday. I wasn't about to go back if he wasn't in a fatal condition because, well, in honesty I have a grudge against him because he hasn't been here for me for like the last decade. In other words, the first thing that went through my mind was, "Well, would he give a fuck if I were in the hospital?" But my mom and some friends brought me around to thinking that I should make peace with him just in case. So I called him. I ended up deciding it's better this way, than to hate myself 20 years down the road because I didn't say anything. Plus, I'd feel like shit for doing to him what he would do to me. Basically, sinking to his level. Apparently he's doing alright and they've released him or something. I don't know. Probably won't talk to him again until a week before Christmas or something.
The next day I was late for work because they messed with my schedule. I usually work every Tuesday night, 4-9. Apparently since it was the holiday week they changed it to 8-4. They called me all morning and I finally woke up around 9 to call them back. So I ended up going in when I thought I'd get to sleep late. Also informed them that I'm moving back home on the 18th of December so I have to quit. They have me scheduled to work until the 16th. Other than that, I'm saying goodbyes to my friends up here and spending some time with them before I go.
Plus side? It's the 25th. Incubus album comes out in 3 days. One month until Christmas. Love the season. Saw Casino Royale and Borat last night. Casino Royale was good, though quite different than the traditional Bond. By the way, That Guy > Pierce Brosman as Bond. 'Cept maybe in Goldeneye. Borat was okay. Not exactly up to par in the rave I've been hearing about it, but I did laugh at several scenes.
