MY RANT
Has anyone noticed that NSW is becoming a police state? Surely everyone has noticed the ridiculous amount of cops around these days. For those of you who drive or are regularly in cars, especially p-plate drivers, you may also notice that being pulled over by the cops has quite suddenly become a regular occurence. Once upon a time police had to have a reason to pull you over and random breath testing was only allowed at properly set up sights. Now they don't even make up a reason why they pull you over and they are extraordinarily rude too. The good cop/bad cop act is totally unnecessary when I have done nothing wrong, and the good cop is never even that good. Their constant presence is annoying, inconvenient, pointless and causes me much anxiety. It is quite unnerving when you are peacefully driving along and suddenly there is a blinding flash of light in your rear vision mirror and a high pitched squealing siren piercing your ears, especially when you are caught completely unaware by undercover police. Surely this violates some civil right. They should not have the power to this without any decent suspicions. Also, since its dramatic growth the police force has taken in all the dregs of society... And not the good old doll bludging or petty thug types, but the annoying anal dim-witted yobs. Clearly their selection criteria doesn't include a vocabulary over 15 words or an IQ above room temperature. What happened to the slightly naive but noble and good natured regular cop? In short, Fuck the Police.
Anger would stir within you too if you were pulled over and talked to in a rude and condescending manner everyday while having to remain polite and respectful. One day things will go too far, there will be a revolution!...just not yet, first we have to be saved by rock and roll... or did that already happen? OH OH OH, and, Nick said the government is trying to introduce a curfew for P-Plate drivers! *seething*
