(no subject)
I have an extremely early morning tomorrow, and I'm determined to get to bed before 11pm, so I have 15 mins. to write this up.
Today I started school. I went in there with a less than optimistic attitude being: I'm here to learn, not make friends.
Needless to say, it wasn't and overly thrilling morning.
Regardless, and to my suprise, I MADE FRIENDS!! Yeah, I know, I don't believe it either. Like seriously, we're actually awesome friends now. WHEE.
Anyways, today in class, basic, I mean really basic computer stuff. This is how you 'copy and paste'. This is how you 'drag and drop'. This is how you create a folder. And this, this is a 'subfolder' And scene.
Easy peasy.
In other news... We have a new cat.
Yep. Cat numero 3.
She's an older cat. Long-haired and black/brown with orange flecks, and white splotches. She's obviously been abandonned (not stray by birth because she's been fixed, and was fat at some point, and is extremely docile). She needed TLC desperately. Her eyes were glossed over, her fur matted, she had chunks of fur missing, and was skin and bones.
She literally just showed up on our door step Friday night. I didn't hear about her until Saturday morning, but I'm completely in love. Mike didn't want her, but thank God (no pun intended) for mom's Christianity because she believes that the cat was sent to her as a sign that we're supposed to care for her.
I try and feed her every morning. Mom usually get's stuch with it because I've been hella busy as of late. But I helped mom get supplies from Wal-Mart and I found a really great fleece blanket amongst my hord of blankets that I was able to pass along her way. She's still living outside, but we're slowly de-fleaing her and cleaning her up. I'm proud to report that she'll have a nice warm, loving home for the cold winter months and so on.
I'm still in the process of trying to name her. As of this morning, I had settled on 'Mab'. Like from Mists of Avalon (Queen Mab of the Fairies). I chose that one because there's something incredibly regal about my new darling. Unfortunately mom for some reason has trouble pronouncing the name (yeah, I dunno what's up with that) and usually resorts to call her 'Mable'.
I'll try and think of something else, but I really like Mab. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
INFACT! I should hold a naming contest!!
I'll try and get a picture at some point.
