Camera hunt

I signed up for online banking the other day, only to discover that both of my tax returns have been sitting in my account for over a week! I took $500 and transfered it to my college savings (bye bye money :( ), and I had $350 to play with for a digital camera. I knew which one I wanted (Kodak Easyshare dx6490), but I wanted to shop around for the best price. I FINALLY ordered it last night from this website (amphotoworld.com). They sent me an e-mail saying I had to call this number to verify my order. So I called the number this morning, and I got this really weird guy who kept trying to sell me stuff. And then he was basically telling me my camera might be crap because, and I quote, "This is the gray market, yanno." He was trying to sell me warranties and stuff. I told him no on everything. But then he got to the end and he said, "Well, maybe a retail package would be better for you." He told me that the retail package would have the camera, all the cords, a better battery, a charger, and a one year warranty. I finally said yes to that one because the way he was talking was creeping me out. I had to pay like $40 more for it, but at least I know what I'm getting. I think that this will be the last time I do business with a site I'm not familiar with. I'd better be happy with the damn camera, and if it doesn't have everything in it he told me it would, it's going back! Because now that I'm paying $40 more, I could've found it elsewhere for less. The whole thing was just sorta sketchy. Anyhow, it's still a relatively good deal. Now I just hafta buy a memory card, a case for my camera, and maybe a battery charger (because I don't trust that it'll be in there when I get the camera). My camera cost a total of $317.95. A little more than I wanted to spend, because I only had $350 to start with. I guess I'll just hafta put some of my own money in to buy the accessories. Ahh, the joys of shopping online =/
