Summary: Voldemort is dead but the war is far from over. Draco, once again, is torn between protecting his family and doing what is right. Secret meetings, conflicting loyalties, and grey morals bring Harry and him together but it’s also what could threaten to tear them apart.
Where to begin? Haha. As many of you know this story took over my life at the start of the year. I have to extend the biggest thank you to my beta,
ravenclawsquill for all of her help. She had the most meticulous eye and without her this story would be riddled with awkward sentences and constant description of everyone's tone of voice, haha. Of course I also have to thank
maccadole who was the best alpha/cheerleader ever! Seriously, she had the most patience and would pour over pages and pages of outlines, character profiles, spells, locations, and more and give me the most wonderful feedback. Without her emails of flailing and support I would have never been able to write this.
But really, thank you to all of you guys<3 I was a nervous wreck up until and even after DTH started posting and my flist was so incredible with their reassurances and encouragement.
I fell in love with
creole_toile's prompt the moment I laid eyes on it. She is such a magnificent artist that I was quite intimidated at first but I couldn't not write this story.
Ever since I began writing again at the end of 2015 I have been, admittedly, a bit of a lazy writer. I love reading stories with lots of plot but I could never bring myself to write one. I would go for smut and high-emotional stakes but the rest I would usually brush past. This is the kind of story I have wanted to write and have thought about ever since Half-Blood Prince came out. It was such a delight to finally get to indulge my desires.
Anyway, I am rambling now.
