Weekly Recs Part 3
Welcome to the third edition of my weekly recs! hp_crossgenfest has been killing it lately! And as currently it’s the only fest I am following, I bring you three recs from this delicious fest:
Title: No Good Deed

Summary: Draco has fucked up. Unfortunately, his Aunt Bellatrix is only too happy to show him the error of his ways.
My notes: I didn’t know quite what to expect when I started to read this but I was pleasantly surprised with how compelling it was. The fiction is dark and haunting and so very real, it draws you in right away. The characters are so well fleshed out and true to canon, especially Draco. I highly recommend giving this fiction a read.
Title: Dream Boy

Summary: Self-preservation is what Tom was created for. So when he discovers the Horcrux in Harry’s scar, he decides to preserve that too. Of course, that doesn’t mean that he can’t enjoy himself in the process.
My notes: An other deliciously dark fiction with perfectly portrayed dubious consent and some underage loving as well. While that may turn some away (okay, let’s be real, not me… never me!) I really find this story so intriguing and captivating. Told from Tom’s POV, we see into his mind, or part of it at least, and, honestly, I found myself rooting for him somewhere along the way. So very hot in all the so very wrong ways made complete with a very delightful ending.

Summary: Professor Malfoy is determined to teach his students to follow his instructions to the letter. The problem is that Albus enjoys detention just a little too much.
My notes: I think everyone is well aware of my deep love for Draco/Albus by now and this fiction just ticked all the boxes for me. Shy and stumbling and infatuated Albus paired with a confident, snarky and slightly devious Draco make for a delicious couple. The prompt alone will make you shiver but nothing can prepare you for how gorgeous and hot this story is. The switching POV’s, the incredible descriptions, the wonderful ending… wow! Just a perfect package.
