My Wedding Day (Part 2)

Aug 09, 2016 10:09

I am officially a married woman, woohoo! Feeling a little hungover and hoping it improves as the day goes on rather than get worse. Mostly my eyes are just super dry and sleepy, and I feel thirsty and tired. My husband (eep!) is still sleeping a few feet away from me. Once he wakes up I am going to make us some french toast with fresh fruit and we will head off for our staycation honeymoon into the city!

Forrest is such a trooper: On the train ride into the city my brain was filled with my hd_erised assignment and he listened to me chat about it the whole ride and brainstorm plot ideas with me, haha. I think I have a loose idea of what I might do but I keep doubting myself because certain scenes really sound/feel like a fic/fics I’ve read before and rather recently too. Yikes. It’s so difficult in fandom for that kind of thing to not happen; hopefully it won’t be too similar.

Anyway! It was a lovely day; the weather was perfect, my friends were amazing and everything went so smoothly. We had leftover homemade donuts in the morning for breakfast and then went to the courthouse in NYC to meet up with the bridal party. It was very busy for a Monday and the wait was a little less than two hours. There is a security check, then you wait to pay, then you wait to be called to this other room and then wait a bit there before you get married. It’s sort of like the DMV except everyone there is very happy because everyone is getting married.

Afterwards we got a late lunch and all the food was delicious and the service was wonderful! We went to a bar for an hour or so afterwards and then ventured off to the restaurant space for the full celebration. That’s when I started to drink and forgot to take photos, whoops Overall, just a brilliant day.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely well wishes on my previous post! I know I am a bit behind on my friends list entries and replying to some comments; I promise to work on that soon!

On the way train ride into the city!

My maid of honor snapped this picture of us as we crossed the street to meet them.

Taking photos while we wait to be called.

This pose is inspired from this ridiculous sitcom for the four of us came up with four years ago called "Toosome"

Bridesmaids!

Got this sweet self timer of the whole crew

They had this little area where you could take photos

The boys being silly

We told them to look like they were protesting... this is what they did.

Final waiting room...everyone looks angry, confused or scared and my poor flowers were wilting. I kind of love this photo.

Also, while we were waiting I spotted these handsome men getting married so I pretended I was taking a selfie but actually took a photo of them. :x (and after Forrest and I got married they were next in line to go and applauded for us when we walked out of the room!

We got married! Forrest really wanted this shot in front of that closet.

As we emerged from the doors of the building.

Posing outside

Forrest insisted on this pose

At the party!
