Weekly Recs 1
Hello all and welcome to the first of my (hopefully) weekly rec list. Every Saturday I will share a couple of fics that I have really enjoyed. They may be recent submissions from fests or older classics but either way I hope you enjoy reading them.
hp_crossgenfest has been posting this last week and all the submissions are AMAZING. Here are a few that I’ve really enjoyed:
Title: Here For You

Pairing(s): Harry/Remus
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 9500
Content/Warnings: Is some light rimming a warning? First times. Nothing else not implied by the rating. This occurs soon after the end of the series, so Harry is young, but of age.
Summary: Remus needs him. Teddy needs him. That’s why he’s still here - he’s not lying to himself, he just needs a place where he can sleep.
My notes: This story is just gorgeous! There is a beautiful flow burn that builds and builds until it just bursts and crashes over in a delicious manner. Remus is so real here, so in character, but so is Harry, and their interactions are just wonderful.
Title: Keeping Secrets

Content/Warnings: Underage (Harry is 15), rough sex, shower sex, dirty talk
Summary: Harry knows that it’s wrong, sneaking around with Sirius like this. He knows that they both know it’s wrong. What he doesn’t know is why Sirius started it when he can barely look Harry in the eye afterwards.
My notes: I have such a thing for Harry/Sirius and this fiction hits all the right places for me. It really explores the inappropriate nature of their relationship, highlighting Sirius’s clear reluctance, while also exploring Harry’s conflicted feelings and the way Sirius’s distance hurts Harry. A really moving read.
Title: (Don’t) Behave

Pairing(s): Charlie/Teddy
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: ~3,300
Content/Warnings: Some angst with a happy ending, anal sex, first time, blowjob, mention of face-fucking and rimming.
Summary: Teddy is a bit of a mess, and Harry is at his wits’ end with his eighteen-year-old godson. Sending him to Charlie, thinking the older man could knock some sense into the kid, seemed like a great idea. Charlie, however, thinks Teddy is just fine as he is-more than fine, in fact.
My notes: This just made me feel all kinds of fluttery and flowery feelings after reading. It’s written so beautifully, the language is riveting and Charlie’s POV is just perfect. Teddy is gorgeous in this, physically and otherwise, and you can’t help but fall for him yourself.
Also, I just read this fiction last night and am still giggling when I think back on it:
Title: Come Harbour a.k.a the Not-a-Metaphor Sailing Association: a story of friendship, sex, and beautiful water-based metaphors (not puns)

My notes: Supposedly the initial draft of this was written on cocktail napkins during a drunken night at Leviosa and what gold they struck! Basically every pun or metaphor concerning the sea or anything nautical is in this hilarious fiction. Written from Ron’s POV and filled with wonderful ridiculousness in every line, you will be laughing the entire time. I’m smiling right now just thinking about it. If you’re having a rough day, pick this fiction up and I can guarantee you will be cracking up in no time.
