I spoke with Aya earlier today. I hadn't spoken to her for some time - not since I'd learned she'd gained demonic powers from a demon summoned into her by members of some kind of cult. She found a way to exorcise the demon from her body. It, and the powers, are gone. It turns out the cult, the Green Dragon Group, are likely not a threat any more either.
Aya told me that the Green Dragon Group had made other enemies, and they're the ones that killed the prominent GDG members that had gone after Aya. A situation like that will have the group disorganized. And with police scrutiny over the murders they won't be able to do much. If the police in Aya's world believed in magic, they could have just been arrested.
I'm very relieved Aya is going to be okay. I... didn't really know how to help her. I just wish I could have done more.
