Dear me,
Do not walk the dog in places you haven't scouted well enough to know that a) there are lots of holes the perfect size to step in, fall down, and fumble the leash, and b) open up (surprise!) into the back of the increasingly busy shopping center they just built next to the apartments. ESPECIALLY do not walk the dog in places that have these qualities very near each other.

Still, Nelson didn't get far before I caught up to him, it was the very deserted back of the shopping center, the dirt was soft enough that I didn't hurt myself, and Nelson thinks it was a neat adventure, so. I was lucky, and it ended well. Very busy few minutes in there, though.
