I'm FINALLY posting my answers to the Five things meme.

5 favorite canon couples! (Interpret couples however you wish.)
Ooh, canon ones. That’s a little trickier. *g* In no particular order:
1. John and Delenn, Babylon 5.
2. Londo and Timov, also Babylon 5.
3. Sarek and Amanda, ST:TOS
4. Gwen and Rhys, Torchwood.
5. Zoë and Wash, Firefly

Top Five Cliffhangers:
I tend to watch series in big chunks, so not all cliffhangers are cliffhangery for me. I’m only counting the ones that I watched in realtime and wanted to throw the remote/book/whatever against the wall, or at least find a time machine.
1. The first cliffhanger I remember is the ending of “The Two Towers,” by JRR Tolkien. And having to wait for my mom to take me to TG&Y to get the sequel. I still remember it, so I think it has to go on the list.
2. Ditto “The Empire Strikes Back,” only that was a longer wait. I was smart enough to know by then that they’d be OK, but I really needed to know HOW.
3. “Z’ha’Dum” which was the season finale for Babylon 5’s 3rd season. As much for Sheridan’s awesomeness as for the cliffhanger, really, but still awesome.
4. “The Siege, Part II,” SGA - because I really, really loved those characters then and it seemed like FOREVER before we found out what happened.
5. “Utopia,” Doctor Who -- of course. Can’t forget “Utopia.” “The Sound of Drums” cliffhanger was good, too, but the Master returning, the Doctor being all frantic and the TARDIS leaving them stranded at the end of the universe just wins.

Top five scenes John Simm is in, any fandom. (And why, if you feel like expanding.)
I’ve only seen him in two shows, Doctor Who and Life on Mars, and I really did mean to get some Life on Mars in here, but um. Didn’t happen.
1. Honestly, he had me at “Ooh, new voice” in “Utopia.”
2. He stole the TARDIS.
3. “What this country needs, right now, is a Doctor,” and that grin. I still grin with him, every time. John Simm manages to make at least some of the crazy seem like an in-joke, like the Master’s playing for the audience, and having fun at it.
4. “How can Gallifrey be gone?” There was a little bit of vulnerability in that phone call, and John Simm does vulnerable WELL. See large chunks of Life on Mars.
5. “I guess you don’t know me so well. I refuse.” Which is simultaneously made of win and heartbreaking.

Top five kick-ass chicks, in any media?
There’s a theme here. They’re not necessarily physically kick-ass, but they’re the types who will tell you how it REALLY is when you need to hear it, and not back down.
1. Susan Ivanova, Babylon 5
2. Donna Noble, Doctor Who
3. Zoë Washburne, Firefly
4. Leia Organa, Star Wars
5. Hmm, some kind of a tie between Delenn of B5, Martha from DW, and Lady Christina from DW. Which is cheating, I know, but still.
