I think I read Watership down about 50 times before I went off to college. I wonder whatever happened to my copy, it was nearly falling apart.

I loved Watership Down too. And one that I read when I was much younger called "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH."

There was a sequel? Oh, well, if it wasn't as good, I guess I didn't miss anything. I was telling Karen that I kinda wanted to re-read it for nostalgia purposes, but I was afraid I'd end up shipping Nicodemus/Jenner.

That's because you have no slash goggles. You and my friend Donna, she doesn't have any either. I wish I could show you the Saiyuki anime, because I think the ultimate test for absence of slash goggles is if you think Hakkai and Gojyo were never more than friends. As Donna does. Which. I suppose it's not impossible. But it seems unlikely.

I want slash goggles. Sometimes. Are you still watching SGA? There was a scene between sheppard and rodney that, as I was watching it, I knew fangirls all over the world were squeeing with the slashiness of it and yet I saw two friends.

I haven't seen it since, oh, 4.1, I think? "Adrift," I think it was. I'm perfectly happy with John and Rodney being buddies. Although I came to the show through the slash. As long as there's a good solid relationship there, of whatever kind, I'm happy. ...I think that applies to most of my pairings, really. As long as they're really, really important to each other, I don't particularly care if they're having sex or not.
