An Alternate Ending (locked to Dr Grey)

Though Savannah doesn't know it, she does have an alternate, and this alternate also visits a Nexus. So far their lives have run exactly parallel. They have the same thoughts, memories, feelings, and emotions. They know the same people. They've said the same things. But the subtle differences are enough to cause this particular version of

But Savannah isn't alone. Surprise, surprise. Someone is watching her.

Savannah is totally oblivious. Lala, knitting without looking at the yarn, watching the sky for shooting stars.

Grey's had more than enough practice with this. He's all but completely and utterly silent as he approaches. He stops behind her and tilts his head a moment as if contemplating something. No... yes. He crouches down suddenly, one metallic hand reaching around to clamp over her mouth as he hits the button on his PINpoint.

By the time she eeks in surprise, they are somewhere else. She struggles frantically (very much dropping the knitting project) before her brain even realizes what has happened. All she knows is: grabbed!

Hello, Savannah. Welcome to Grey's sekret basement laboratory. It's a big, unfinished basement with two tiny cells and plenty of lab equipment. He releases her and takes a step back, looking conflicted. This was bad. Really. He can't forget what happened last time he took interest in someone in the Nexus. But... but...

He grins, a small attempt at pleasant. "Hello." As if he didn't just kidnap her.

"Wh..." She's shocked. And she looks around. Oooh, this was bad. "Grey - what are..." The fear is creeping in, and she tries to grab for the PINpoint in her pocket.

[grey_matter]

Heeey, right PINpoints. Forgot about that. Other people have those. Yeah. Grey lunges forward quickly, grabbing at her arm hopefully before she can pull it out.

Savannah is grabbed. "Hey, lemmie go, I mean it!" She tries to stomp on one of his feet.

[grey_matter]

Grey scowls at her and tries to grab the PINpoint away. "Things will be much easier if you cooperate."

[_meadow_lark]

"Things?" The PINpoint is grabbed from her, she isn't very strong. "What the fuck are you talking about? Why'm I here? Take me back! HALP! HALP!" Freaking out always helps!

[grey_matter]

Grey pockets the PINpoint and grits his teeth. She's noisy, does she have to be so noisy? He grabs her by the arm and attempts to yank her up. "I want your blood." Well, that didn't sound too creepy.

Savannah is yanked up, rather unwillingly. She's noisy because she's 16!

"What? What? All of it?" Valid question.

[grey_matter]

Grey looks at her strangely. "No." He releases her. "Are you going to cooperate or do I need to restrain you?"

[_meadow_lark]

"Restr- oh, I thought you were a crazy, but now I'm sure of it..." She kicks at him and scans frantically for an exit. A door, a window, anything. All in a semi-blind panic, this is definitely not her day.

[grey_matter]

There are no windows, the only light coming from the hanging fluorescent ones, and the only door is at the top of the basement stairs. It's also solid metal and requires a password typed into a keypad to open.

"Restraints it is." He growls, dodging the kick. He moves to grab her. He'll carry her or drag her if he has to!

"No no no no no no no!" Not that saying as such does her any good. What was he going to do, seriously? Her eyes...removing her eyeballs for further study was the top of her list of worries, as was the distinct possibility of rape (16 year old girl locked in basement by a man. What else could happen?), torture, death...certainly no returning to her home...her father, or Kurt...

And she is dragged, though Grey might find it easier than before, as she's shaking quite a bit and doesn't have that much control over her legs anymore.
