I found Taylor and Kathy today. I was driving around searching the area when I heard a shout that sounded like Taylor. The kid has some serious lungs. Got there to find them both about to be happy meals for some vampires. Luckilly I had a stake with me since I had heard tons of talk about vampires and thought it might be a good defense weapon to have. I got lucky and was able to stake the vamp that had Taylor, and Kathy was able to get away from her vamp and he ran away when he saw his buddy taken out.

Now here's the funny thing about all this. Apparently Taylor, was patrolling, looking for the vampires to hunt and kill. Because you know, nine year olds would fight so well against vampires. I'm fifteen, six years older, and I know I just got lucky with the one I killed! I know he was trying to do the right thing by hunting the baddies, but that shouldn't be a kid's job. EVER. I don't want to know what made him think it was.

But he seemed to think he could handle it, since Connor had trained him some. Training or not, a kid should not be all alone on the streets like that looking for fights. It would just lead him to being killed, if not worse. Sure he knows more about demons than i do, but I know that there is some evil, human evil that would love to see those two on the street all by themselves. Makes me sick to even think about it.

Shortly after I found them and was aruging with Taylor about the patrolling issue (Kathy seemed to just want to go somewhere safe, nice to see she has some sense) Angel called me. Apparently he just came to the conclusion that those two were missing. Which, yeah, great parenting. Really. I told him that I had found them and he told me to bring them back. Which considering how long it took him to notice they were gone, I was very hesitant to do so. But he seemed very concerned when Taylor was doing the patrolling, so that ease my uneasiness about it.

So I dropped Kathy back at the Hyperion and Taylor back at Dylan's house. Dylan and Connor seemed freaked when I dropped him off, Angel probably told them what happened. I was glad to see that they were still concerned about their kid like that, even if they have been on the strange side lately. He's probably going to have a lot to explain for, which he should. I left before they started, since it wasn't any of my business, he's their kid, not mine. I'm just glad he's safe, and hoping he doesn't try to run away again. Looking for two kids for several days is definatly not how I envisioned spending my last part of my summer vacation.
