Wish Upon a Rainbow

Feb 24, 2005 19:16

Some people only see as far

As their overseers let them see.

Some people see the back of their lids

And their vision is never free.

~~~~~~~~
So I wish upon a rainbow
Since the stars are too high
And I'm running on an empty tank
And through rejection by sweet jesus
When I find sleepless nights
I am the only one I have to thank
~~~~~~~~

Most people don't like to bleed

But the audience is always full.

Most people close their eyes to shield them from the light

And their brain's protected by their skull.

~~~~~~~~
So I wish upon a rainbow
Since the stars are too high
With a body that's as flawed as man
But our prayers are interrupted
By the cellular jams
In this new age, immaculate ban
~~~~~~~~

Most people don't think twice

About the outcome of a deadly sin.

most people lead a latex life

So the feelings can never leak in.

~~~~~~~~
So I wish upon a rainbow
Since the stars are too high
That my voice may ring through toxic air
And though our lungs are used to poison
From our precious cigarettes
We know the nicotine really cares.
~~~~~~~~

Some people turn the blue to red

Until the spotlight shines on them.

Some people take control of their love

And then they use it to kill again.

~~~~~~~~
So I wish upon a rainbow
Since the stars are too high
And are always out of my reach
So I take that pretty rainbow
And wrap it 'round my neck
And peel of my lids to see
~~~~~~~~

No person on the planet earth

Is worth the breath they take.

Kneel down and pray for forgiveness

No one is ever saved.
