hate is easy, love takes courage.
i don't say this often enough: but seriously, life is beautiful.
the heartache, the struggle, the pain and misery of it all is what makes it so unbearably beautiful.
it is so easy to forget that. so easy to revel in the hate, be embraced into contempt of this wonderful place.
there are moments when life is so unendurable that it makes you want to give up, stop believing in the good in people, things, places, or ideas. things like faith and hope seem like foreign concepts. the cycle of pain seems insurmountable, like nothing will ever change.
people are untrustworthy, they are selfish, and people are filled with hate, anger, and violence. your heart will get broken, you will get let down, you will be disappointed, and you will not always get what you want. there will be no escaping this as long as there are humans on earth.
but through all of this negativity, there has to be one infallible good thing, one thing that is positive. if we did not have all this suffering in the world, there would be no compassion. there would be no gratefulness for the good things, the good people, and the good times.
life is a miserable business. but you have got to love the tragedy. you have to learn to accept the ugliness and the bad with the good and blitheness. it's not easy, it's actually really hard. and because no one is perfect, you're going to forget it, because emotions cloud the brain.
